To take a screenshot, hold down Sleep/Wake button then immediately press and release the Volume up button.

The scren flashes white. Your device captures teh entire screen and saves it as a photo in your Photo app.
I don't see a flash and no screenshot was saved. Is there another option?

Which button is the Sleep/Wake button
The Sleep/Wake button is the isolated button locate at the left of he iPad. On the iPod touch the button is located a the top. When you have an iPhone 7,8,X,11,12 and 13 the button is located on the right side.

The screenshot is saved as a photo in the Photo app.
